ASA
RIP - JANUARY 11, 2012

Asa is our 14 year old German Shepherd.  What is his disability you ask.  He's Grumpy!  Yep that's it, he's a Big Grump.  Of course, I would be too if I were 98 years old and full of arthitis.  This is the most faithful dog one could ever hope to know.  Asa has been with us for 13 years and now spends his days trying to convince the other dogs he is still in charge!  So much love for this big guy.....

KASHA & LITTLE JOE

Kasha and Joey were both adopted to us by the Rolling Dog Ranch in Montana, with very different stories.....

Kasha was originally picked up by animal control in Spokane, WA with her rear foot missing.  She was taken to the surgical specialists where it was determined that her foot was most likely chopped off with a hatchet since it was such a clean wound.  They amputated at the hip, and she went to Montana to recover both physically and emotionally.
She now resides with us to live out her life to the fullest.  And let me tell you, she is the fastest dog on the ranch and lives to jump off the dock and swim for her toys!  Yep, she is a happy dog!

Joey is a blind German Shepherd from Afganistan.  He was found there as a pup on the side of a road, blind and emaciated  by an American journalist and basically smuggled out of the country.  He then went to the Rolling Dog Ranch to live and recover.  We adopted him shortly after Kasha in 2008.  He now spends his days patroling our grounds and playing with his friends.  One lucky dog that Joey is.....

BUNNY

Bunny is our "Original" Bumble.  She was our first lethal white Aussie.  She is blind, deaf and the most wonderful dog one could hope to have by their side.  She is a perfect example of why Aussie's are called "velcro dogs".  We are in 'awe' of her on a daily basis, she is fearless!

BEAN

Bean is the resident 'show pony' with OCD.  He is deaf and quite visually challenged but non the less, he is enjoying everyday at the ranch to the fullest!  This fella has the X factor and is loved by all who meet him. Goof-Ball!

DUDLEY

Dudley is a deaf boy who spends most of his days rounding up all of the bones and stockpiling them in the woods.  He always has the funniest look of worry in his eyes that one of the other dogs might find "the stash."  We call his stockpile of bones Dudley's Gold.

 ELDON

Can this boy sing!  True, it is well known that Aussie's like to talk, but our Sir Eldon John sings to us all day long!  He is deaf and blind in his right eye and dreams of performing on Broadway one day.

HOOPER & TONKA

Ah yes, the boys...  the Kentucky boys.  Hooper and Tonka are standard Aussie's from yes, Kentucky.  They are brothers and they are both blind and deaf.  These two are more closely bonded than we have ever witnessed to dogs ever being.  They both have pure hearts and we are blessed to have their prints on our hearts.  Just two of the most incredible dogs we have ever known.  Our little hillbilly's.....
